Step 1: Load the PSI Google Chrome Extension:

• Click "Download Examslocal Extension" button which will download the extension in a zip file to your local computer.
• Unzip the downloaded file locally. You should have a PSIExamslocalProctoringExtension_unpacked directory.
• Open a new tab in your browser and go to chrome://extensions/ or the equivalent for non-Chrome browsers.
• Turn Developer Mode on (switch available at the top right of the extensions page).
• Click "Load unpacked" button and select the PSIExamslocalProctoringExtension_unpacked directory.
• Click the "Run Compatibility Check Again" button at the top of the page.

Step 2: Verify the following minimum requirements

Testing Environment Testing Environment
  • Room must be quiet, private and well lit. Public spaces such as coffee shops, stores, etc. are not allowed.
  • Desk must clear of all notes and electronics.
  • Examinee should reside in the center of the camera frame
  • No bright lights or windows behind the examinee
